Getting Started
Creating your first proposal
From New Proposal to a saved draft, step by step.
Create the draft
- Click New Proposal from the dashboard.
- Select a proposal type — Commercial, Technical, Full-Scope or Custom.
- Enter the basic details: client or company name, contact person, project name and a brief.
- Choose the sections you want for that proposal type, then add a prompt. If it's your first time, click Use an example instead.
- Click Use an example again for a different example — they vary by proposal type.
- Quiip creates a draft and opens the editor, where you add pricing, timelines and any detail the AI flagged as something it can't generate on its own.
- Click Save version to keep it for later. The proposal now appears on your dashboard with the status Draft.
Reworking a draft
Nothing in the draft is fixed. You can regenerate at three levels:
- One section — Click Regenerate on the section and add a prompt describing what should change.
- The whole proposal — Use Regenerate all to redo multiple sections at once.
- A word or sentence — Double-click the text, choose Edit with AI, add your prompt and click Apply.
Why it matters
This flow exists so a new proposal never starts from a blank page.
