Email sending and SMTP setup

Send proposals from your own domain, not a generic address.

Connecting your sender

By default, proposal emails may send from a generic Quiip address. To make emails arrive from your domain:

  1. Go to Integrations → Email Sending.
  2. Choose to connect your own SMTP server, or your business email provider — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho Mail.
  3. Enter your SMTP credentials: host, port, username, password or app key, and sender address (e.g. proposals@yourcompany.com).
  4. Verify domain ownership if prompted — typically a DNS record (SPF/DKIM) added at your domain registrar, which also improves deliverability and keeps you out of spam folders.
  5. Send a test email to confirm it arrives correctly formatted and from the right address.
  6. Once verified, all proposal emails, notifications and chat alerts to clients will send from your own address.
Why it matters

Clients receive proposals from you@yourcompany.com, not a third-party platform address — it looks like it came straight from your business.
