Proposal Types
What is a technical proposal?
How the work will be done, rather than what it costs.
What it covers
A technical proposal focuses on how the work will be done rather than on pricing. It typically includes:
- Business requirements understanding
- Proposed solution architecture or approach
- Methodology, tools and technology stack
- Timeline and delivery milestones
- Risks and assumptions
- Maintenance and support
Use it when
The client — or their technical evaluators — need to be convinced on capability and approach before cost is even discussed. Common in RFP responses, enterprise IT deals and consulting pitches.
